Traditionally in rural areas the woman of the house was responsible for the fowl and in return she received the monies made from related sales. She spent it as she wished but inevitably the money was used to buy yarn to knit and fabric to sew for the family.

Eggmoney is a series of work expressing our connection with this tradition. This is a 100% Irish handmade product using sterilizes egg shells from our own free-range ducks and hens. The bespoke boxes are hand crafted using locally sourced timber and the product is made in our studio among the Caha mountains in South Kerry, Ireland.
